Before the first submission there is the first inch. This chapter is the pre-operative examination: posture, frames, grips, and base, the four structures every later plate assumes you own. The old teachers spent years here and apologized to no one for it. A choke executed from a broken posture is a coin flip. The same choke executed from a controlled one is arithmetic. Study these plates until your body performs them without consultation.
